| Sunshine right now , but we will see for how long ,plenty of April type showers seem to be happeningTensions run high around everywhere ,more and more stores closing or cutting their hrs. We are not on lock down yet ,only asked to stay home , go out only when needed . Once a day for exercise , and shopping for groceries . Streets are bare most of the time around here , and folks are using the 6'distance . It is getting scary ... I wear my mask and gloves, don't care what anybody thinks .Kerri: You are doing everything right .....stay healthy .Whisper: To bad about your cancelled visit with you Great Gran son , but better safe then sorry .Take care everyone , stay healthy and safe .

| I had to cave and finally go to the supermarket. The cat insisted I had to go and buy her food. It wasn't as bad as I'd anticipated. About 20 mins in the queue outside before I got in but people were being very sensible and keeping their distance and I didn't hear anyone complaining about the wait. The shelves were much better stocked than last time I went so it looks like the panic buyers have calmed down a bit thankfully.
Now looking forward to a lazy day chilling with my friend Netflix. |

| Sunny morning 7c ....but having showers ever so often , spring is arriving, there are blooming trees lining the streets in places, looks pretty .Whisper: Your cat is lucky to have you looking after it, hope it appreciates all your efforts of the shopping trips ... We are all lucky to be doing OK so far .Our shelves around the supermarket close by.... seem to be getting worse , don't feel like going even , there is less and less to be seen ,is panic buying still going on ? Read an article on the net yesterday about a possible food shortage developing do to all the border restrictions etc etc , oh dear ! Prices going up again I bet . Well, best make the best of things for now , stay healthy and be careful . |

| A couple of lovely, sunny days here. A pity we're mostly cooped up indoors. There's plenty of housework I could be doing but I'm struggling to work up any enthusiasm for it. Not that I do at the best of times. lol I think I'm getting lazier by the day. The lack of social interaction, even for someone like me who isn't very sociable to start with, is becoming a bit surreal. I would imagine anyone who normally works and is very active outside of work as well must be going stir crazy by now and we have a long way to go still. |

| Hello All,
I had to pop my head in today to welcome our new member after getting the email to say she had arrived.
As I write this I haven't had time to go back over these last three pages to catch up with everyone but before I get out of bed this morning I wanted to drop in here to say a quick hi.
I have spent most of this year with Doctors, hospital etc, trying to find out exactly why I keep having these bouts and trying to live some sort of normal life.
With trial and error I have discovered, (I think) that it has boiled down to me suddenly becoming allergic to milk. Sounds simple doesn't it. But after having to spend virtually the whole of February laid up it's been no joke I can tell you. Basically it seems I have been poisoning myself. I have lost a lot of weight and had extreme anemia again, which of course makes me so weak I could barely stand.
Once we realised what it was I had the whole of March getting well and stronger again. Anemia levels are now up out of the danger zone again.
I often think of this board and would love to give it an update and maybe I will use my 12 or so weeks of being in lockdown to do something about it.
Well, that's a short precis of my medical status. I will be back later to update on what else has been going on in my life and to catch up on all of yours. |

| Lovely sunny morning ,10 c , flowers blooming in yards now . Easter weekend here , must look for a small turkey or chicken . No big family visiting dinner this year . No Easter Egg hunts in town either . Well, we count our blessings as we put our energies to staying well and follow the rules . Whisper: yup , what does lock down consist of ? Can you go out for Groceries,or a little walk ? Everyone here seems good at keeping the distance ,except the grocery stores it seems ,not enough room. And yes ..... one never misses the water until the well goes dry , cabin fever .it must be for many .Sandy : Nice to see you , we miss you around here . Sorry you have been sick again , sure hope you have found the culprit now . We look forward to your visit's again , stay well .

| I hope you're improving now Sandy and the culprit has been found.
At the moment Geru we can go out to exercise/walk the dog for an hour, buy groceries and get medical supplies or care for a vulnerable person. That will be reviewed today but no decision made immediately as to whether those restrictions will be tightened even further. Our grocery stores only allow a certain number of people in at once so it's easy enough to practise social distancing while we shop and people queuing outside have been very sensible about it too. |

| Another lovely sunny morning here and some of the same forecast for the Easter weekend , to bad we are so restricted at present , but we have to make the best of it and count our blessings to be well.Whisper ;Our situation is much like yours , I hate listening and reading all the terrible News ,it makes one depressed . Grocery shopping is a real chore now , having to disinfect my grocery cart afterwards .etc etcfolks are trying hard with the distance keeping , and only 12 are allowed in at one time , but only a few are wearing masks . We are not on lockdown , only * state of emergency * We are asked to stay home , only go out once a day for a walk or grocery shopping . Most stores are closed , only essential stores are left open .The whole thing seems like a bad Nightmare !! Stay well everyone , take care , wishing you a very healthy Easter !! |

| More stuff dried outdoors including bedding. The sunny days continue although it's down from 20C one day to 18C yesterday and only 13C today. Better than wind and rain though especially since I'm off to stand in a queue for the supermarket this morning.
Our lockdown was extended yesterday for at least another three weeks. Doesn't bother me much since I'm unsociable anyway but some people are starting to feel a bit stir crazy I think. |

| Hi everyone.
Sandy, so good to hear from you. I hope your medical issues calm down and that you will be feeling better soon.
Wendy, Glad you were having some nice weather. The state I live in is still on lockdown. I'm still working very long hours. Still wearing my masks and gloves at work.
Geru, I watch the news every morning before I go to work. Sometimes after work, I just can't watch it anymore. I decided I need to give my brain a break from the stress and the worry.
It is 63F/17C and sunny today. A gorgeous day out. I have the sliding glass patio door open. The sun is shining in and the gentle breeze is coming in through the patio door screen.
Salads with Romaine lettuce, sliced hard boiled eggs, sugar snap peas, shredded carrots, fresh tomatoes, and Feta cheese crumbles on top for lunch.
Watching something on Netflix or Amazon Prime later.
Take care, everyone, and have a peaceful rest of the day. |

| Good to see you Kerri. I hope those work hours ease up for you soon.
I think we can get overwhelmed by the constant bombardment of bad news at the moment. Switching it off for a while and just chilling with Netflix or something is essential to relieve the stress. I bet you're missing your grandchildren too.
My GD has been in hospital for a few days after feeling no movement from the baby for a while. She's back home now and all is well with both her and the baby thankfully. Gave her a bit of a scare. The little monster has managed to kick one of her ribs out of place which is very painful but they can't fix it while she's still carrying him apparently. Looks like this one is going to be a bit of a handful even before he arrives. |

| Hi everyone.
Wendy, That must have been an awfully scary experience for your granddaughter. Thank goodness the baby is OK. I hope she is not in too much pain re her rib. The baby does seem like he demands a little extra attention. Best wishes for her and the baby.
Making pork ribs for dinner. A side of sauteed fresh green beans, fresh fruit salad, and cooked fresh mushrooms and peas.
The store had a lot of fresh fruit on sale. I over-bought. So we'll be having fruit salad with many of our meals the next few days.
Tonight we're going to watch a movie. We haven't decided if we're going to watch "Parasite" or "The Call of the Wild".
Take care, everyone, and have a peaceful rest of the day. |

| That dinner sounds delicious. I'm not a dessert fan but one of the few I will eat is fresh fruit salad. I'll be right over. Well just as soon as I'm not banned anymore. lol
I watch a lot of Korean drama series on Netflix and I was delighted to see a Korean film finally get recognition. I haven't seen it yet but if you do watch it let us know what you think. |

| Nice and sunny again here this morning. Meant to reach 18C which is good for April.
Not usually Geru although a few have been dubbed. I can't watch those. These are subtitled as is the film I believe although I haven't seen it yet. I just love the characters in their dramas. The good and the fairly evil ones. Love their humour too. |

| Well, we got rain today, dark and gloomy ,but much needed , as some fires around the region needs dowsing .Nothing much new today , baked some blue berry muffins , while waiting for my delivery to get here .Wendy: I can't stand watching the subtitled movies ....yellow on white ?? OMG can't read it , it goes so fast, takes me much to long .Give me a good drama with a human interest story , or a funny one will do too , I hate musicals , or war movies . |

| I watch on Netflix. You can change the size of the subtitles and the colour, shading, background etc. Took me a while to get it just right for my eyes.
Still sunny here but cooler and quite windy. Nothing much planned for the day other than some laundry and a few other small chores. I'll brave grocery shopping again tomorrow. |

| Hi everyone.
I went up to the grocery store this morning to get groceries and supplies. I found a container of Clorox wipes on the shelf. I couldn't believe it! Ha! Such a small thing made my morning.
I also bought some diapers and fresh fruit and left them on my daughter's porch. It hurts my heart not to be able to hug my baby grandson. But this won't last forever. I know many people are having a more difficult time than I am. So I count my blessings.
They had porterhouse steak on sale at the store for $1.64 a pound. My husband was feeling a little down, so I bought some and am going to broil him one tonight and serve it with stuffed mushrooms.
A beautiful, sunny Spring morning. I may sit outside on the porch later.
Take care, everyone, and stay safe. |

| Ooh lovely. Steak and mushrooms. The nectar of the gods.
It' s funny the things that make our day now isn't it? A friend was delighted the other day because she finally managed to get some toilet rolls. lol
Didn't get the shopping done on Friday. Long story involving a dead car battery and a dead jump starter. My own fault I forgot to charge the latter. I think a new car battery is in order soon though. It's over five years old and probably not holding its charge. The car shouldn't have been dead as it had been out a few times.
A lovely young man I didn't know from Adam jump started it for me later in the day and I took it for another good run. Managed to do the shopping on Saturday and took it for another run after that so if it dies now it definitely needs a new battery since the alternator seems to be fine.
We've had a decent run of weather in April. Washing is drying outdoors again. Supposed to end today though with rain and cooler temps forecast. |

| Hi everyone.
I finished my laundry, washing my kitchen floor, and rearranging our freezer section of the fridge. I filled my husband's pill organizer for the week, and cooked him some things that he can eat during the week while I'm at work.
Now, time to relax and watch something on Amazon Prime or Netflix.
Wendy, so nice when a stranger is helpful. There are some good people in the world.
Take care everyone and have a peaceful rest of the day. |

Did you watch Parasite in the end Kerri? |
