| Yesterday, finally, after many years of being peed off with never finding a bra that fit or felt comfortable and of loathing having to wear one, I finally took my bra off and decided never to put it on again. I thought at my age who bloody cares if my boobs are sagging. I certainly don't. I now just want to be comfortable. Oh my the feeling of freedom all day was wonderful. Today while on the computer I thought I'd do a search of what is written about going bra-less or the importance of wearing a bra. I came upon this very interesting 15 year medical testing of women going bra-less. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/259073.phpOnce upon a time, we as females, felt that we had to wear constricting corsets to give us what was thought of at the time as the correct shape. Eventually we were sensible enough to take the blasted things off. Maybe now, it's time to take our bras off too. |

| Interesting article. When I had that bad chest infection recently I couldn't stand wearing a bra. It felt like a steel band round my chest even though it wasn't tight. I went without for about a week. I found it comfortable most of the time. I'm not sure I'd want to go out wearing a t-shirt and no bra though. |

| Yes it does depend on what one is wearing as to what one can get away with without a bra.
I have always felt a bra very constricting. From the moment I was forced to put one on at the age of 12 or 13, I've hated them.
I mostly wear loose tops that hang straight down and I often throw a long thin scarf around my neck which hangs down over my boobs.
Next week I'm off to buy a couple of new summer dresses so will choose straight shift style ones.
As I do intend to stop wearing bra in future any clothes I buy in the future will be the style I can wear without a bra.
My wardrobe is already pretty well equipped to go without bra. I have several longish baggy shirts that I can wear more often rather than T shirts, and I have 3 knee length shift dresses already that I wear with leggings. But I do need a couple of long summer dresses that I can wear without leggings when the weather is too warm. |

| Trouble is, throughout the centuries women have been expected to keep the fashion shape of the day with the use of their underclothes.
Today's clothes are designed for the shape of a woman wearing a bra, so it is hard to dress well without one.
So far so good for me though. This is my 6th day without one.
I've been looking on line for some decent shift dresses. Trouble is they either seem to be only knee length or ankle length. No calf length. |

| Hi Sandy, long time no talk.
If you feel comfortable going without a bra, why not!
I am so used to wearing one that I prefer having one on. I toss the ones that are not comfortable for me. |

| Hi Daz. I bought some new ones which are a lot more comfortable, and now wear or not wear them according to what I'm dressed in. |

| I go braless a lot but not in public. I'd love to get over my fear of that though. |

| That's what women probably thought and felt when they first took off their corsets, lol. |
