Hello from Illinois, I'm TaraLynn7

Hello,
Like I said I am from the state of Illinois.  You know the stare where we have a great retirement plan for our Governors.  First we let them spend all the money, then we jail them for a while, then we let them out to spend the rest of the money they stole. It's a beautiful system.....I am not usually so political.  I am actually embarrassed to say I am from Illinois.  Sad eh? 

Anyway, my decedents are from England and the US. 
I have been married for over 43 years, we have 2 kids, a daughter, (who is married had 2 girls, she is a nurse practitioner)   A son, married and he works for a consulting company in the IT division.  They have 1 little girl. 

So I have 3 granddaughters, and I "hardly ever talk about them" LOL   They all live very close by, so we have the granddaughters a lot.
   
Hubby is a retired coal miner, I am a retired secretary, I have done many things,  hair dresser, Realtor, real estate secretary, Ad writer, and mommy, wife Grammy, and sister.  
I have an elderly mother who keeps me hopping, she is quite the sassy one...not always sassy to deal with. 
  
My hobbies have been many over the years, but now I do Dollar Tree glass and mirror art, and I have a Silhouette Cameo vinyl cutting machine.    I had to retire early due to scoliosis.  I have my spine fused from the T10 (bra hook area) to the Si (pelvic bones)   Yes it hurts, yes it sucks, but I try to not let it define me, although its harder all the time.   I've had 3 surgeries and the last one has limited me on movement etc.  Very hard to clean house and walking after a while produces numbness in my thighs.  But it could be worse, so I carry on.   Ask me anything.......

I always post way too much as you can tell and I try to come in a couple times a week.   
I look forward to making new friends here, I was invited by Geru. I cannot even get into Taptalk much less see the destruction over there.    Good bye to that mess.

Hello Tara and a very warm welcome.  So pleased you finally made it in.

Where abouts in England are your decendents from?  I'm on the south coast of England in the county of Dorset.  But I originally come from just outside London.  The south side of London that is.

I love reading long interesting posts and I sometimes post long ones too.

Scoliosis positively does not sound a very comfortable thing to live with, but you sound as if you try to keep chipper through it all.  I think we are all falling apart on this board.  I don't think there is a fit one amongst us, but that's what aging does to you.  If they could only find a cure for old age.  How wonderful that would be.
