Easy Kettle Descale

My electric kettle was very badly scaled up, so I simply poured a can of coke a cola into it, boiled up up once and then left it for a couple of hours.

On going back all the scaling had dropped off and I was able to just rinse it all out.

I then boiled the kettle up once more with clean water and threw that away to get rid of any remnants of coke smell or taste.

I do that with lemon juice ... same way as you do .... boil and throw out the water, then refill with water and give it a boil ... throw out the water and the kettle is like new again.

I only used coke because I just hoped it would work as I knew it was meant to work on lavatories.  Wsn't sure it would work on the kettle though, but it did
