hello, i found this by looking at the bottom of the board, as the groups were going by..

my dad who has been gone nearly 12 years, hard to believ...the first part of his name was zan...never knew anyone else by that name...so cool to see someone named zandranna....and all that

It’s illegal to attach a siren to your bike in Sudbury, Ontario

Since 1973, the only noise-makers Sudbury cyclists can attach to their bikes are bells and horns. Breaking noise bylaws in Sudbury can lead to fines up to $5,000. Umm, who attaches a siren to their bike, anyways?

Well, up until vaccum cleaners were invented and the poor could afford them, everyone had to take their carpets out of doors to beat them.  I remember helping my Grandmother to beat hers.  Prior to 1839, people did beat them out in the street but mostly in cities where there were no back gardens.

We aren't allowed to have very noisy horns or sirens etc on our bikes either. They probably made that bylaw because it became a thing for young teens to create as much noise as they could while cycling.

a book i once read, it was supposed to be in the early 1900's i believe....

a group of kids wanted to clean house, and they kept on saying to one another, can we do this, can we do that on sunday.....and all that

put out the laundry, and all that

so the laws did exist, the thing is that no one ever bothered to take them off the books when society changed......

We have some really daft laws that are simply ignored now, but I love them.

Once of our stupid politicians wants to go through all the laws and take off the ones that don't apply now.  I  wish he would just mind his own business.

i know they concentrate on stuff they don't have to, dont' they...and stuff that they should be doing, they just plain ignore....

i'm worried about our subway again

we're starting to make waves, but next year we could have a new provincial government, and i bet they'll burry it again like they did 25 years ago...

i know you guys lay i've heard a mile of track every year...

now if only we would do that...

instead it will be debated for the next 10 years, and nothing will be done, and when the government gets back into power the one that wants it, well there's another 5 billion dollars, and then of course no one will want to do it, because of that
